"How will this affect ‘mortgage prisoners’ due to the EU Mortgage Credit Directive?"
I'm surprised nothing has happened on this.

My understanding is that the EU is saying that it's UK law that is the problem and as the EU mortgage credit directive is just a bunch of suggestions to protect consumers, then it may well be true.

So, why did the government not just get in writing that the EU doesn't expect the UK to create mortgage prisoners and change the law now?0
