How many calls do you think these people make?
from the criteria for compensation you need to have been ill for at least 7 days, been all inclusive, still have your booking details and was in the last 2.5-3years they will eventually hit the jackpot and find someone who ticks the boxes and they can take their % from the claim
it is not the case that everybody that happened to go all-inclusive in the last 3 years to any one of x countries gets a cheque!0 -

I have had a random phone call from travel advisory line stating I can claim compensation if I went on an all inclusive holiday to a country that fell below the recommended hygiene standards within the last three years .
I mentioned I had visited Tenerife and he said it was on the list and tour operators have put aside money to pay out compensation.
This seems too good to be true as just to claim for going on holiday to the country without havinga ny illness due to the hygiene levels seems strange.
I am wary that this may be a scam , has anyone come across this
Just in case he calls again...
Recently I found out that a 'plane I flew on years ago later crashed. Perhaps you could ask him if I am due some compo for that.0 -
Please can anyone shed any light on whether this was a scam? The same company have been in contact with my mum today.0

Of course it's a scam, why would anybody think it's not a scam? Just put the phone down to unsolicited calls.0

I am concerned that 'is it a scam' is a question that needs to be asked. You can't protect your mother unless you first understand the nature of these scam calls . Do a Google search, read up a bit about common and obvious scams and then educate your mother to spot them herself.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Even I have had the call, I told them I had never been on an all inclusive holiday and wouldn't if you paid me, but they still wanted to start a claim. They clearly don't know a thing about me but think dangling the promise of a big fat cheque, from a fund set aside by the tour operators (complete and utter nonsense by the way) will get a fee from me to start the claim.
Well, it won't and shouldn't be accepted by anyone. If you really have been ill and have evidence, you should start the claim as soon as you come back and go to a recognised firm of solicitors who specialise in this type of claim. If you don't know a good firm, just have a look at the travel section of the Daily Mail ( I will allow you to feel ill again) as they normally have a holiday horror story based on a press release by such a company0 -

Couldn't resist using Streetview to see the location of this Corporates business.
At least they have cut the grass and the lawn looks nice in this end of terrace Liverpool residence.
Think that sums up the Travel Advisory Line!0
