  • hi,

although i don't have much for good advice i just wanted to say good luck with sorting things out. I got some really good advice on here and have managed to cut my debt by about 3k i think in quite a short time. i also think once you've made the decision to sort things out you feel a lot more in control, i used to worry about my debt but not really do much about it causing more worry!

you've done the worst bit, facing up to the total amount, good luck with the rest.

All I can say is you are young, have made your mistakes early.
Hopefully youll get out of the situation (Its a long haul but if you can look ahead 3 years)
If you follow the excellent advice given to you on these pages, you will survive and prosper.
Also buy a copy of "The Money Diet"
.I keep mine in the toilet, 5 minutes a day reading keeps me focused :)

As for financial suggestions, maybe you could refinance your Egg loan to be over 5 years and reduce your monthly outgoings to give you breathing space to tackle other debt (kill off your credit cards asap)...
