Background
Neither parent wanted me to live with them.
Had no financial support from anyone.
Aged 18 in 2005.

Problems with Student Loan and Grant
There was a box for dependant students under the age of about 24.
There was a box for independant matural students of about the age of 24 and over.
I came under neither.
Telephoned the head of LEA. (Wayne Symmons)
Head of LEA said that I have to choose the dependant student as I am under 24 and that it didn't matter that I was not supported by anyone.
I was told that I have to get one of my parents to fill in their details, even though neither supported me or even allowed me to live with them.
I later (2006/07) found out that this advice was incorrect.

Results of this Bad Financial Advice
Had my father to fill his details in for my first academic year in higher education (2005/06).
My father refused to do it for the second academic year (2006/07)
Was informed that it had to be my father who filled in the details as he was the person who done it for the first academic year.
My grants were pulled and I was unable to complete my degree.

The Past 6 Years
I have been unemploeyed for most of this period.
I have been poor for all of this period.
I had been homeless for most of this period.
I have suffered severe depression for all of this period.
I have a huge student debt that is growing because of the interest.
I now have a debt collection agency after me.
I own nothing.
My bank balance is £1,500 overdrawn.

Questions
Is there anything I can do about clearing all of this debt, as I was given bad financial advice right at the start?
Can I claim any damages in regard to loss of earnings I would have had as a Mathematics BSc graduate?
Can I claim any damages because of the mental health problems that this has caused?
