    I’m not gonna move over not being able to see my card in online banking - that’s a bit drastic :-)

    Just wondering if it’s a fault everyone with the new debit cards is having.

    Doesn’t look like anyone’s made the switch though lol

    I did online and it was changed over the same day. Haven't received anything through the post yet though.

    When you get and activate your new black debit card let me know if you can see it online and do things like mark yourself as going abroad or issue a replacement card or get a pin.

    Online banking doesn’t seem to see mine at all - the call centre can see the card though.

    As your OP says there's not much difference between old & new & you have to ask to change, I haven't asked. I've not heard anything about it from Santander.
    Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

    Ok, so I got my card today. I don't seem to have the problems mentioned with relation to online banking.

    One problem I do have is that when i've tried to order online some stores are saying 'card range not found'.

    I phoned Santander and they said it is a known issue with the new Select and Private accounts as it is using a new card number range and alot of places haven't updated their systems to support this yet. He also warned that some places might even think it's a credit card and try and charge to credit card fees. They are working with visa to resolved the problems asap but in the meantime advised to have a 2nd method of payment available. He did note that is was very unfortunate timing on their point to release and account with such issues this close to Christmas.

    So not too great but hopefully they will get over their teething problems soon.
