MSE Deals Alerts Chrome Extension Preview 24th Oct 16 at 4:57 PM

    Hi Everyone,

We're launching our new 'Deals Alerts' Google Chrome Extension and we're giving our forumites an exclusive chance to try the Extension out and in return give us some feedback, before we push it out to wider audiences. The Extension is designed to notify you of the best deals available as you shop online. If you're a Chrome user, you can visit the extension / app store and add it to your browser here: http://mse.me/DealsChromeApp

    How it works
When you visit a retailer’s website, our Deals Alerts Extension will let you know if there’s a deal available which you might otherwise have missed. Plus, the deal will have been fully checked out and verified by our team, so you know it works.
We’ve started by focusing on the 20 big retailers listed below, but more will be added.

    Amazon
    Asos
    Argos
    Asda
    Boots
    Cineworld
    Debenhams
    Domino’s
    Pizza Hut
    House of Fraser
    M&S
    Morrisons
    New Look
    River Island
    Sainsbury’s
    Travelodge
    Tesco
    Odeon
    Ocado
    Waitrose

We'd love to now what you think generally in terms of feel, functionality, design and more specifically, we'd like to know the below:
    • When browsing or shopping, do you notice the messaging of the extension, the pop-ups and the extension icon next to the URL?
    • Is it obvious enough, or do you think it could be more / less prominent?
    • Is there enough of an alert to the MSE deals available?
Please install the app/extension, try it out and leave your thoughts either in the comments below or email us on dealsalert@moneysavingexpert.com for any more help or advice about the app/extension.

Took a quick look, but Chrome gives you this warning before installing:

"It can read and change all your data on the websites you visit."

That's a major privacy issue - no thanks!
