Sent a cardigan back to Bode*. They have a policy of accepting returns for up to a year if you are in any way unhappy with the item. I was going to send the joyless item to CS but now I have a credit. I sent it back via a freebie too :T
I photocopied a document I need to sort out some paperwork
I got my small shop in. There were no bargains in W8trose this week. I’m going to start going 30 minutes later. I’m too early, not that it mattered as I don’t have the money to stock up anyway.
I found some frozen broad beans in freezer and added them to quinoa. Turned out nice and had with (yet more) Thai veggies and a piece of chicken and salad as I hadn’t eaten all day and was ultra hungry
I bought some chocolate today. I know, a very limited budget but without chocolate in the fridge I feel naked
Making soup and beetroot hummus tomorrow. I’m going to chop up some carrots too. In an ideal world I’d add huge green olives to this little feast but it isn’t an ideal world so pickles at 65p are a better idea this month
A good day. I’m happy with it. I hope you are happy with your day too

Exercised by walking today for 30 minutes
Food prep wise I bounced between R5 live and TV to watch men’s final.
Beetroot homous
Lentil, chorizo, spinach and tomato soup (came out lovely)
Boiled eggs
Grated beetroot
Toasted walnuts
2 burgers (might be beef or pork I can’t tell by looking) played safe by adding grated onion, garlic and herbs only
This is more than enough to be going with for a few days. Not really proper meals but I’m in a grazing mood
Cleared shelf in hallway.
Moved bike into dining room. (Seriously thinking of selling it and buying a Brompton instead. )
Decluttered and will eventually take down hallway shelf.
Cleaned remaining skirting boards in hall
Shoe rack in hall is a dust collector removed to go to CS
Coats and jackets bagged for dry cleaners ready for Autumn
Small, silly coat rack beneath proper one removed and in CS bag.
Wow hallway appears bigger and cleaner and calmer. Result.

Hi DIA
Sorry to hear about the travel pass but as others have said, on the positive side it shows your progress and your new skills.
I totally understand about the need to have chocolate available

This is my 6th NSD in July
Busy day and a little tough too. However, I’m thankful for a chance to learn new things. Back for the last day of training tomorrow
Train cancellations and traffic so it took me 2 hours to get home.
It’s exactly 14 days to pay day and I’m already planning what I want to spend the little bit extra I’m expecting. I know some people on this site spend any extras on debt repayment but I need the extras to get me through and stop my mood crashing. Too much deprivation is dangerous for me. We are all different…:)
The training course provides lunch and coffees so I’ll just take some fruit with me. I have a Ner0 free coffee so I might use it if we leave the course early as a treat.
I heard back from my voluntary application. They do a recruitment/training in September so I have to wait to see how that goes.
Loads of stairs and walking today.
I’m so ready for bed
I’ll check in on other people’s diaries tomorrow.
I hope your week got off to a flying start
