on a walk past the bottle bank in supermarket car park saw 5 x Bag for Life carrier bags in top of the rubbish bin. No longer in bin- washed and hanging on line!!
I would say they looked like new bags- what a waste- clearly no thought for money waste or the state of the planet!!

The decent Christmas wrapping paper I save and just trim round the edges where the selotape has been, some selotape even peels off so no need to trim at all!

Those wasteful bad for the planet bows and ribbons can be reused, just needs a bit of double sided sticky tape to stick it on again with.

Christmas cards get made into Christmas gift tags, those that don't are recycled into the card bins for the Woodland Trust.

Gift bags and boxes are all reused.

Those gift sets that you receive that come in annoyingly shaped tins such as baubles, stars, trees etc that look nice on the shop shelf but are actually nothing but wasteful excess packaging in shapes that aren't very practical for re-use; get their stickers removed so they can be used as another gift with either sweets or small toiletries put in them.

Any decent boxes get saved and covered in gift wrap at Christmas time to use as the outer for a small Christmas hamper.

Those items from Christmas Gift sets that just don't get used either get passed to someone that will use it, sent to charity or sold on EBay.

We make our own Christmas Crackers filling them with small useful gifts for each other rather than buying the shop bought Crackers that are just full of rubbish that doesn't get used!

Yesterday retrieved a carrier bag dumped in the alleyway behind house. I'd seen it there a few days earlier- but it's obviously not owned by anyone.
    Contents:
Twiglet container- plastic lid to go to tip (have a bag full of thicker plastic), foil liner ripped off and dumped, card & metal in recycler.
Neat s/s thermos - musty smell. Washed well, ready for use
Pink polo shirt- washed- then off to cheapie charity shop.
Longlife carrier bag washed for use.

Also last week found 2 x Morrisons big shoppers- looked new- in the rubbish bin by bottle bank. Rescued, cleaned and being used.
