Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Did the landlord/letting agent even agree to it? In writing? Or did you make a unilateral decision to just leave £x and the keys and hope?0

If you have learnt from this, first thing you do, as soon as you are in the door of your new place, is what?
a) Breathe a sigh of relief
b) Make a cup of tea
c) Photograph the electric meter and the gas meter if present
d) Take a selfie
e) All of the above
Guess what, it's c) "No experience is a waste if you learn from it"... But you could have saved yourself a whole load of grief/money/energy (geddit?)/time if you had taken more care.
HTH and good luck.0 -
