is title plan same as copy of the lease?

Hi,
I am doing a remortgage and in the remortgage questionnaire, I am asked to provide a copy of the lease.

Unfortunately I can't find that document. From land registry, seems I can buy a copy of title register or title plan. Is it same as lease?

many thanks

  • When you say lease are you remortgaging a flat? Or are you remortgaging a buy to let property?

It is not about the tenant lease.

    the question:
if your property is leasehold, please provide us a copy of the lease.
    thanks
  • That’s what I was kind of getting at with my first question.

I don’t believe it is title deeds they are after (I could be wrong). I think your management company of the building hold copies of the leasehold if you no longer have a copy? Your original mortgage company should have also held a copy on file. Both probably have small fees to retrieve.

Sometimes the LR hold a copy of the lease and you can buy one for about £7. The lease plan is not the same as the LR title plan.
Otherwise as suggested try the freeholder / man co
