had an email from someone in Europe who placed a huge order back in January asking to order again and sending me a shopping list of about £1500 - need to check through it all tomorrow to make sure that none of the things she wants has had a price increase in the last six months - unlikely!
    Wowsers, that's great :T:T:T

Ok, stalking again!! Am on holibobs so may have missed But...... Well done on the crew stuff. I have a top which was £12.50 last year and I love.
The weather has thrown me. We are in California (now, towards the end of our 2000 mile road trip) and DD had a pair of TEVA sandals like mine when we were in San Francisco. We walked 13 miles + and she now won't wear them but mine were fine!

Am horrified but the price of fruit and veg over here- maybe it's because they really should be able to grow their own?

This Friday's won't have the proofreading numbers in, I have to submit my invoice by the 5th to get paid on the 7th,I think (or nearest working day to), but hopefully a week on Friday will be looking pretty good :D

I was supposed to finish shift at 11am today, but the work kept coming through and I finally threw in the towel 10 pages into a 57-page focus group on pensions with a lot of missed words in it, saying I'd pick it up tomorrow morning.

The European lady's order has been checked over and sent back to her for approval (she hadn't realised VAT in the UK was 20% not 21%, so her figures were slightly out), which came through about 4pm :)

    Tomorrow's jobs:
    • Finish proofreading work and complete any more that comes through
    • Pack and post orders
    • Pay tax bill
    • Photograph and list tiara headbands and email customer they were ordered for
    • Do new links listing and email the customer wanting some
    • I should get a very large stock delivery tomorrow - that needs booking on and the two customers with very large orders in it need contacting to say it's here
    • Order stock for European lady's order
I'm sure there's more, but that's all that I can think of right now.

Not *too* bad. Another manic day. Should still be working, but am calling it a night, as all the files have question marks over them and one isn't back yet.

    How is it August already??

    Business
    Overdraft: -£-8,770.00 / -£8,590.00 +£180.00

    Business total: -£8,770.00 / -£8,590.00 +£180.00

    Personal

    Nationwide card: -£2,330.00 / -£2,305.00 +£25.00
    Halifax card: -£5,640.00 / -£5,640.00 no change

    Personal total: -£8,470.00 / -£8,445.00 +£25.00

    Grand total:17,240.00 / -£17,035.00 +£205.00

Some good figures to end the month with and I'm pretty certain I'm going to like what I see if I have a look at what I've paid off this month. End of June to end of July:

    Business
    Overdraft: -£-9
    210.00 / -£8590.00 +£620.00

    Business total: -£9210.00 / -£8590.00 +£620.00

    Personal
    Barclaycard: -£1040.00 / -£500.00 +£540.00
    Nationwide card: -£2330.00 / -£2305.00 +£25.00
    Halifax card: -£5700.00 / -£5640.00 +£60.00

    Personal total: -£9070.00 / -£8445.00 +£625.00

    Grand total: -£18,280.00 / £17,240.00 +£1,245.00 :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

NOW we're cooking with gas :D:D:D:D And given that I thought the transcription and proofreading would never even get close to matching what I was taking out of the bead shop each month, I am utterly delighted to be submitting an invoice for £1297.54 + VAT to the company today!!!!

I've had a much-needed very lazy day. Mr Minx got the shopping yesterday when he went into town to see his mum, so we've stayed at home all day and apart from horse and dog-related activity, all I've done is lounge on the sofa and watch the Royal International Horse Show on Sky. Bliss :D

Just finished my proofreading shift - I was doing really well until the last file, it's always a warning sign when what should be a straightforward one-person file of just over an hour comes in split between three people...! Anyway, I think that's got me to my first £100-worth for August, though I've had to cut back a bit as Mr Minx is getting a bit grumpy about the number of evening shifts I signed up to, so I've cut back to three a week, Sunday, Tuesday and Friday.

I wonder if my spread betting account is going to give me a free bet again for my birthday this year? Just in case, I think I should actually do some research in advance rather than doing what I normally do and buying £1 a point on the FTSE 100. One to think about over the next couple of weeks.
