Argh I am grr with Virgin lol, 1st BT went through fine (a whole card) so then I did another one (£1400 off another card) and it said it went with the review team, heard back today to say they have declined it as they said it took my total over the 95% limit (even tho I only put the amount they said I have available) so I tried again today and worked out the 95% myself (which was lower than the figure their website showed) and it's gone to the review team again!!!!) xx

Morning all, how are you all doing?

My HSBC card came, I am super happy, it has a great limit on it, I have requested my balance transfer's. We now only have one overdraft (of £3000) on a high apr and £300 left on next (which should be able to be paid off before Christmas if my loss of earnings money comes from the car crash) I've been able to move everything to 0% (or to a lifetime low of 6.9%)

I am going to do something that is not the norm I don't think, but our overdraft is £3000 and it needs to get down to below £1000 to change its fees from £40 to under £30, so to me it seems to make no sense hitting that one yet, as my plan is that I am going to send letter's to all the cards that are now empty to close the accounts down. Then in Jan I am hoping OH will become eligible for a 0% MBNA or Virgin card as they do 0% money transfers, then we can shift the overdraft to one of those.

So once Next is gone, the next target is my MBNA card which is currently 0% till November 2016

I feel excited, if you had asked me last October if I thought we would be in a position by this October to start paying off 0% cards I would have thought you were crazy lol. I didn't even think we would be able to get any 0% cards this early in our journey.

I am grateful for all the 0% cards but I can't wait till everything is settled where it is meant to be lol, cos all the money bouncing around these last few months has taken its toll on me and I've been rather stressed and tearful figuring it all out, but I am happy that we will enter 2016 very positively.

I hope you all have a good day, I have a@da coming today, and OH is going to carve the pumpkins with the kids. I am off work tomorrow, so I plan on taking DS (he's 5) to his first ever cinema trip, we are going to see Pan, I haven't told him yet tho, DD will be going to in laws. xx

Wow I haven't posted in a while, I'm still here, still plodding along lol.

All the money is settling now, just waiting for November statements on the cards that are now nil to see if there is any interest. So should know by dec (Jan at the latest) what the total debt is now.

Getting all sorted for Christmas, going to pick three things up from Argos today, then just need the wii u (I'm waiting for Amazon Black Friday) and need my mams presents and my nephews then I'm done :) I've got all my wrapping paper in etc, so can start wrapping

Decided to treat us a bit this Christmas my mam was doing a m&s food order, so we've ordered venison, cauli cheese and potato dauphoinoise for Christmas :) will get a little Turkey joint from asda (cos you gotta have Turkey there lol) and the rest of Christmas food from asda :)

Need to go clothes shopping at some point, bil is getting married 12th dec so I need some clothes for that, need a smart white shirt and gold tie for DS, mil has already bought DD a dress but will need some shoes for her xx

Mm...cauliflower cheese and dauphinoise potatoes (not a meat fan so I'll skip the venison ;)).

Hoping the Black Friday deals are decent this year - last year we didn't see anything of interest, and the Lightning Deals at Christmas were pretty blah as well.

I love daupinoise potatoes and cauli cheese :) we will also be having roast potatoes, mashed potato, sweet potato and parsnips, sprouts, pigs in blankets, stuffing balls, broccoli, posh gravy (that's what m&s call it lol) Yorkshire puddings and of course the venison and turkey, I can't wait lol I want it now :)

I know Black Friday was pretty rubbish last year, I don't think I bought anything :( I checked last years listing and the wii u was on and was reduced by £50 so I'm hoping that's the case as well this year and I've got £60 Amazon vouchers saved so hopefully should be able to get the wii u and two games for £120 cash xx

Wow, sounds like you have been super busy with all the transfers, it becomes a real juggle after a while!? I personally find that I can't take my eye off of the ball for a second. Well, that cost me about £80 last time I was distracted for a moment!

I'm hanging in until December to transfer onto my 0% card...no luck with the lodger yet..but hey ho, I have been offered an additional day at work. Feeling super happy :j x

Hi, yes I have lol, it's been wrecking my head if I am honest, I'm a wee bit miserable at the min, which is stupid cos we're in a really good position at the minute. Right now I need to keep remembering to check the accounts of the ones that are nil to check for any last bits of interest.

Aww boo to no lodger yet, I hope you get one soon, yay for additional day and I'm pleased you are super happy xx

Shopping has just been delivered and I have just over £15 to overpay, I've done my meter readings, we are currently £80 in credit I estimate it will be reduced to £30 by the end of the month, but that's still good.

Need to motivate myself to do some housework, I totally can't be arsed lol

I hope you are all having a good day xx

  • Morning all, my god it is FREEZING!!! Had the heating come on timer at 4am this morning for the first time ever!!!

I'm off work today (had no childcare) I need to go to asda, my son has grown out of his school pants already that I bought him in September so I am off to pick up the order I did online the other day.

My son joined choir club at school so he doesn't finish till 4 tonight, so I am going to attempt maceroni cheese in the slow cooker so that it is ready as soon as he is home, as he will be starving lol

Anxiously checking amazon all the time as I want a wii u for the kids (and us) for christmas but so far all they have been putting on is xbox one's and ps4's, I hope they have one!

Have a good day all xx
