Oh my ACTUAL GOD! My ACTUAL GOD!

Just happened to check my hubby's credit report (which I randomly do when I have nowt else to do on nightshift).

The Barclaycard which I was fighting (no valid CCA) and has consumed 20% of my life over the last 24 months has been marked as settled. Actually settled. We paid them nothing. We are still receiving letters from hounds chasing this.

How the hell did that happen?

Also, it was marked as settled May 2010. Now I can tell you, when I last checked the credit report around 6 weeks ago it was a nice glowing shade of red with a default date of May 2010. The default is now showing April 2010 and settled May 2010.

What am I meant to do with this? I had sliced the total off our debt anyway :o as I was planning to pay them something before we absconded but was willing to fight it to the bitter end.

    HELP???!!!!!

BTW this was a healthy £2937, and I know I shouldn't have knocked it off our debt total but I did.:o

    Answered my own question :D.

Looked in the alerts section of the Equifax site - they marked it settled on 7/10/11.

    I won - I bloody won :D:j:D:j:D:j.

    I did it - I fought Barclays and I won :j.

Little do they know I was planning on paying them a modest F&F;).

I realise this isn't exactly a moral victory as we spent the money (and they lumped on the charges), but I'm happy and a little smug nonetheless. Apologies to those offended.

Meant to say checked mine and hubby's credit reports thoroughly last night (hence the excitement above), and we now each have 2 defaults and 2 arrangement to pays on our records. The rest are settled. Good times (believe it or not)!:D

Won't find out whether I have the Oz job for another week, and they emailed today to say I'll only be offered it if they can't find someone with "right to work" in Oz first of all. Bad times. :(

Have gone ahead and emailed the other hospitals wanting to interview me as a back up. Life it seems is complicated after all............bummer.
