leather belt smells!

Hi
I am hoping someone can help me. I got a leather belt which I wore on a night out and someone spilt a drink on me (advocat and lemonade). The belt has been in a drawer for the last few weeks and I took it out to wear at the weekend and it now smells really stale. Help, what can I do, I really like this belt!

    You could try putting bicarb on the affected area for a day or two because it absorbs smells well.
