Autoline got me best quote this year. I always shop around, no loyalty here :-)
I started out with nothing......And still have most of it left:p

I am also with Abbey and my automatic renewal quote came in yesterday, a comical £550!

Last year it was £350, and I have never claimed once in 13 years of driving.

Within 5 mins work on gocompare I got a renewal quote for 360, albeit with 200 quid more excess. Will call Abbey to get them to sort themselves out!

    Anyone got any other recommendations?

Also, my car is only worth £1000 now, should I be considering 3rd party cover instead?

My insurance went up to £647 with Abbey, from £470ish last year :(

The cheapest I could see online was Endsleigh for £390, but they get terrible reviews online. IS anyone with them? Or can you recommend anyone else?

Have you claimed in the last few years? Did you ask why it is so expensive?

I would take the cheaper insurance, despite the review, you can always try again next year

So got my renewal quote from Abbey £471.00, paid £320 last year so increase of £151!

Done a few online comparison sites and the average is around £330.

Guess since Abbey bought over Open & Direct they are looking to get their money back through its customers.
