Hi
Not been on for a while as everything was going along ticketyboo. Then Carter Forbes came on the scene.
The debt was from a payday loan - I know I was an idiot to take it out - anyway the payday loan company were actually reasonable about it and accepted my DMP.
Took three attempts to get the balance of my account from them by email. Was a bit shocked at the balance and afraid lost it a bit and fired off an email to them. Do you think I was a bit cheeky?
My reply is below:
"The last balance I had from Payday loan company on 7 October 2010 was £494.08. They had not added any interest or charges as they had accepted my DMP.
I assume that you have bought the debt from Payday loan company at pence in the pound. I estimate that the balance on the debt would now be £453.68 and that the vastly inflated "interest charges" are the companies attempt at profiteering."
Email with current balance .

Your current balance is at £3171, the reason for this balance is because your loan has been overdue for 21 months with interest being charged at £120 a month.
Getting there, slowly but I WILL be debt free before I retire
