Glad your Saturday went OK Coco - hopefully you ex will get the message soon and start taking the boys out. I still find it hard to believe that he just comes round and sits on your sofa all day saturday. Not healthy for either of you and where is his self -respect !!!!!!???!!

Wish I'd seen your slouch jeans request yesterday - don't know where you are based but if you have an outlet centre near you the jeans shops there usually do slouch jeans for about £10. I got some from Ada's recently for £18 but they are all sold out now - wish I'd got 2 pairs at the time but had my MSE head on :o. I do love the slouchy style and you can't underestimate the importance of a pair of jeans to make you feel good (and let's face it there are loads of people out there wearing jeans that do nothing for them....)

What a waffle - sorry! Have a good Sunday :)
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :j

    Morning Poles :)

He is just a ****head basically - end of :D

Did ok with my £30 really , one pair jeans, a t shirt & a hoodie (I can no longer endure the shame of wearing hoodies that were too small for my youngest 2 years ago ......:) )

Feel so much better with a decent pair jeans - never know who you might run into :)

Why did I promise a roast dinner today ? Why ?! Three hrs cooking , hour clearing up , it's get demolished in 5 mins flat & I will be lucky to get through an hour afterwards without hearing "I'm starving " !!!!

No photos of the kingfishers, I saw them but they're nippy little blighters and don't sit still for long.

As a consolation I decided to carry on to the pub, just to check that Neville the part time barman is keeping the beer properly.

I'm pleased to report that he is.

I'm currently trying to work up the enthusiasm to go to the palace of glittering delights. My fridge is looking decidedly empty and the car needs feeding.

    I'm glad you're feeling good.

Glad to hear you are keeping an eye on the barman Masonn :D
    Pity about the kingfishers though.

I have had a very eventful hour !
Whilst at the supermarket - someone has left a dent in exes car ... And they haven't even left a note ! Oh dear :p

Also ran into my SIL ... She gave me the biggest hug & said they miss me & invited me up for a drink next week. She whatever's happened is not their business and I am still part of the family :j
We always got on well so it was lovely of her to say so :)

And as if that wasn't enough excitement - when I went into M****sons to buy apples - the had a 6kg jt pork for £12.26 !!! So have put half in freezer & other half will do roast & sweet & sour pork for tomorrow's dinner -bargain !!!!

Have read through your whole thread and how you keep going is amazing. You really are doing so well and remaining positive throughout. We all have bad or low days, its allowed we are only human after all. :)

How you have managed to be so kind to your ex amazes me, you are a better woman than I am. Over the last few apages you do seemed to have turned a corner with him though. what a shame about his car ;):p

Wishing you well on your journey, i have subscribed so will try to keep up

Well what an idiot I am :) my "appt" is not till Friday !!! I could have sworn it was tomorrow !

Already have day off booked so have arranged 2 viewings on local houses to rent & appt with local CAB - it's only a small office but apparently they can then refer you on to main office for more specialised advice. As for the viewings ... Well it's kind of curious to see what's about and partly to being prepared. So will see what happens ! Have my paperwork & questions ready for CAB so hopefully a productive day :)

Work is crazy again. I just hope I get a half decent pay rise - but am not banking on it till I know !

Am just catching up on tv c*** as too tired to do anything vaguely taxing .....

Hope everyone had a good day !

I really hope you get things sorted, I'm sure the CAB will help.

I'll catch up at the weekend, I'm away for the rest of the week, not a holiday unfortunately, it's work.

Note to self. Self, don't forget to empty the fridge.

    Hi Mag :)

Yeah, really busy day yesterday !!. Viewed three properties, none would be ideal but 2 would be "ok"..... I am going to keep looking - just so I know whats around, always best to be prepared I think !!

Also went to CAB - it was a little local office and the lady I saw was about 128 ........... :) I explained the situation as best I could - the poor lady clearly didnt know where to start and by the end kind of said "Ummmm, I am not really sure what to say dear, its a bit of a mess isnt it ?" Understatement of the year !!! But she was lovely and did her best.
As I am in town on Friday - I am going to go up to the main office and try to see someone there. I think to be safe I am going to put my name down on the council list - its not what I want but at least I feel like I am doing something. My main worry at the moment, is that the Secured Loan is due to go up next month - another £158 a month to find...... and I just dont think its going to be possible.
I spoke to secured yesterday - again they are not moving on lowering rates, spreading the term longer or, any kind of shortfall agreement - but, on the positive side it might just be that they wont help until the crunch comes ? Its a big gamble, but I am running out of options now........
However, I am still smiling and, all things considered, still remaining quite positive :) I dont know where this is going to end up, but at least I know I have done my best - nobody can say I havent tried.
So, I will wait and see what advice I get on Friday..........

In other things - work is still ridiculously busy - its hard to keep up, but, its nice to come in and totally switch off for 8 hours and concentrate on something else :) I do love my job though !!

Am taking a bit of a gamble - have told the ex I cannot afford the mort/sec loan payment this month, - end of. I also need to get my car back on the road and this is going to be impossible if I dont get some help So, either he will stump up the money - or he wont..... its a bit of a risk but, desperate times etc. So lets see what he says - I am the eternal optimist :):):)

Youngest is at that ... its nearly the end of term and I have run out of steam time....... getting him out of bed in the morning is growing ever more frustrating every day bless him :D ........ three more weeks to get through. Its amazing how much easier mornings are when I only have to get myself up and out of the door :T

On a cheerful note - I have drained my local T***o of 1/2 price catfood....... I have enough to feed them for the next 3 months or so :rotfl:

Right, must check emails and back to the crazyness that is my job !

Have a good afternoon all :)

Hi Coco, loads to catch up with on your thread! That poor lady at CAB, bet she needed a cup of tea after hearing your story!!

Great to hear you're busy at work, we had a crazy day too, hence coming home and clearing my head on MSE! have also given youngest son a haircut and although I say it myself, it looks bloomin' good!:D

Hopefully once you've had a good chat with someone on Friday everything should become much clearer. Like I read on another thread, there's always light at the end of the tunnel, sometimes it's just a really long tunnel!;)

Got a refund on a kids club today so have invested it on, ahem, a bottle of wine and some chocolate*. Should put a smile back on our faces (easily pleased!).

    * the wine was on offer, the chocolate was own brand. So really it was the MSE thing to do.:money:
