A great tasting apple tart made with bramley apples and plain white flour
Ordinary white loaves. A disaster, the second this week, in baking my bread. I'd switched from Sainsbury's strong white flour to Tesco strong white flour and all my loaves seem to collapse. Here's the recipe.
8 fluid oz water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
400 grams Tesco's strong white flour.
I aim for 4 grams of instant dry yeast l
I use my bread machine to do the mixing and bake in the oven.0 -

Encouraged by all the Old Stylers here I have decided to take up some baking
Here are the results:
http://s1109.photobucket.com/albums/h427/croberts888/
I learned several things in my first attempt:
1) I need to get an electronic weigher as I got the quantities slightly wrong, hence they are very sweet but a little depressed :rotfl:
2) Icing covers everything including depressions
3) Never take a hand whisk out of the bowl whilst still on, it will go everywhere including the ceiling!
4) Practice will make perfect! :T
Now to go feed them to my lovely BF :j:j:j
Thanks guys :D:DThanks!!0 -
