Price of scrap lead?

I have gathered up over 60 kg's of lead whilst renovating my house, does anyone know what price I will get at a scrap merchants and if it is a good time to sell (as it is with copper)?

At a rough guess you would probably get about £1 per kilo.

I seems to go up every time I weigh stuff in. Copper was fetching £2 a kilo last time I took some up, but that was some time ago.

Just got back from the scrap yard.

60p a kilo, 65 Kg's in total, so £39.

all metals are getting good prices now. cause of the china effect.
hence metal theft has gone up by a huge factor. churches & railways are having a big problem right now.
copper is very expensive now.

Hello, does anyone know if the scrap yards will buy old lead sea fishing weights. And if so how much do you think I will get for a hundredweight 114 pound, I think. Many thanks

Going rate is about £1k a tonne atm IIRC - Google will help you!!!
