Morning all,
JackieO - hope you have success at the dentist.
Molly - That must be so hard for you
Redruby - Hope your DD is better soon.
No rain here and the sky looks like it may be brighter later. Will put WM on when DS2 goes to school. I get fed up asking him to strip his bed and after a fortnight I begin to notice the smell
Made bacon and onion quiche for tea last night and we had it with diced roasted spuds and tinned toms and mushrooms. Will probably be something chicken tonight.
Off to buy tights this morning, I haven't worn them for years and years but we have a Wedding on Saturday and I have a dress to wear. Not the right time of year for bare legs! It's taken me ages to decide what colour and thickness etc,
We've booked a B&B for the Fri and Sat eve as the Wedding is a couple of hours away. DH deliberated for so long about staying or driving there and back in a day that we have to have a twin room for the three of us, so he is taking a fishing bed and sleeping bag. What a noob!
Anyway have a good day0 -
morning,

Hellloooo!
Frog gave me a blissful lie in until 7am today!
She used to be up with the sparrows fart at 5.15am which was a killer until I altered her bed time and tried a technique to alter her wake up time. Usually time is now 6.30am which is livable.
Today is nursery day (woo hoo!) and DH might be back from work in time to meet me for a lunch date. He stated at 4.30 this morning
I need to hang some thermal curtains in Frog's room today and also clean the bathroom. Usual washing, tidying and putting away to do as well.
Dinner I think will be pork schnitzel for DH and I and Frog will have tea at nursery so perhaps some spaghetti hoops to tide her over when we get in. All depends on what she has for tea at nursery really.
Hope you all have a good day despite the grey weather out there xxWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
I'm feeling a bit wobbly this morning as I had a bad day yesterday. I managed to get to my weightwatchers meeting despite missing the bus and having to get a taxi. I'd put on a few pounds which I knew anyway but I started to shake and feel panicky so I left the meeting and went into town. I manged to get to wetherspoons but once I was there I had a massive panic attack and had to ring my eldest DD to take me home. Bless her heart, she ran all the way into town from her house and we managed to leave and get a taxi home. It's really knocked my confidence though as it was so out of the blue. I feel such an idiot but I had no control over it. It will be hard going back to the 'spoons again as everybody was looking at me crying and shaking but nobody came over to see if I was ok. It was just a mortifying experience. Thank goodness for my lovely DD.
Anyway, I'm having a quiet day at home today, I'll probably go back to bed for a bit to keep warm too until my DD and grandson come over for a visit. Hope everyone on here manages to have a good day, pleanty of gentle hugs available for all who would like one. Sorry it's such a miserable post too. Take care,
Cheers m'dears x0 -
Morning everybody,
Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day here, clear blue skies, but a bit nippy. At least dogwalking might be a bit more enjoyable than the pelting rain and mud yesterday.I'm going to carry on sorting the upstairs out today. Now DS2 is no longer in residence ,his brother has moved into his old room. Its a lot bigger and has a little en-suite so he's more self contained but it involved swapping beds over, not to mention all his computer equipment. He also went to the Swedish place and got 2 desks/tables,he got 40% off one as it was a bit scratched so he can get it all along one wall now instead of in the corner like his old room.He works from home so it's much better for him now.
The only prob is DS2 still hasnt moved all his clothes and stuff out of the wardrobes so I might stick it up in the loft in bin bags. Then I'm going to put the desktop pc from the 'office' into his old room, leaving the 'office' just for my sewing machine and craft stuff, thereby avoiding tales of woe when DH wants to do some invoices :jand it's full of fabric etc.
Met my friend for lunch yesterday for a natter which was nice.Tea was chicken/sausage casserole. Some left but I think I'll freeze it.All made with stuff from the depths of the freezer-starting to see some space now
Right,I must go and gather the bedding that was stripped off during yesterdays bed moves and get it in before I take the dog out.Hope today is a good day for you x
LW- lyla sends some doggy cuddles for you and hopes the nasty BD goes away soon x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all,
400-odd exam papers arrived yesterday afternoon: I had my very own mail sack in the van & felt honoured. The rest are due today/tomorrow
I must get a bustle on and batten down the house before I start marking next week as it will be the end of the month before I'm 'free' again. I think DH will get used to 'dinner is in the slowcooker'
I finally finished the giant packet of breakfast cereal that I don't like and I won't buy it again, EVER. We are now a sugar puffs free household :T
Hugs Dumpling :grouphug:
Keep warm everybody and have the best day you can xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Morning All, I've not been on here for ages... Last time I was regularly visiting DD was 4 months old, she's 22 months now so I've been slacking.
We moved about 16 months ago, and it took a while to get into the swing of things. But we stayed OS, and kept in budget most the time. The garage roof needed replacing, and we've recently done the electrics, so it's not been a cheap time, but we saved and paid in full
I'm pregnant again, due next week. I was very poorly with DD but was much worse this time. Lucky I've been properly diagnosed with HG and have been lucky to find an anti-sickness medication which help with the worst. I've not been able to come off the medication, but with DD it lasted until she was born. And I can't drive due to sickness, Vertigo and Low Blood Pressure. On the bright side I've had loads of extra scans
Dispute everything DD was potty trained 3 months ago, and I've coped quite well
DS is settling into Secondary School well. And is doing cooking in after school club. Ends up he likes it
With everything I did loose my OS way, meals have been thrown together, often processed type foods and in 9 months we've overspent £425 on groceries. So I'm back on the grocery challange, and I've got new meal plans... I am determined to get back on top of things once baby is here.
Anyway, today I am washing some second hand toddler bedding I got for DD from facebay. I've put bread on, and sliced the loaf from yesterday. Dinner tonight is beef tikka masala using leftover brisket.
I have a friend visiting this afternoon too
Hope Everyone has a great day xWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Hi everyone,
Mollie, what a worry about DS, my DD had a very controlling boyfriend that she wouldn't finish with and when she finally did she confessed he had been blackmailing her to stay by saying that he would tell us some things she didn't want us to know, b*st*rd. I hope your DS gets away soon.
Dumpling, try not to be embarrassed, you will never see those people again!
JulieG I remember you and what a bad time you had (I also remember being sick with DD for 9 months and that was 30 years ago!). Welcome back, even though I've just re-emerged from lurkdom myself.
Well Mum is a little bit better although I think it will take a while before she's out of the woods. All the women on her side are very strong so I'm sure she'll come through it.
Plans for today are packing to go to Yorkshire and general tidying.0 -
Morning all,
Welcome JulieG nice to see you posting
Judi the dogs look so cute
Dumpling, have a big hug. My middle boy has panic attacks, not for a while now but he really struggles and has had to leave work a couple of times. Hope you feel better soon.
I've also worked through my list this morning.
I've already
Done a wash load
Swept kitchen and disinfected work tops
Vacced through and tidied lounges
Cleaned downstairs loo
Pulled out chicken for a curry for tea
Just need a quick shower. I'm making the boys a curry for tea but I'm using a jar and I can't have it as it contains wheat. I will probably have a salad with some chicken.
I have around twenty people for a little bonfire for the kids tomorrow night so I'm making meat and potato pies and chilli with jacket potatoes also will do a Parkin. It is going to be just a little fire and some sparklers. I'm another one who doesn't like noisy fireworks. I've written a list, shouldn't cost too much.
I'm going to have a bash at a gluten free lemon cake this afternoon.
Have a good day all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Afternoon All,
Tru - good for you for staying strong regarding being used and abused in your own kitchen! :T
Dumpling - what an ordeal you had. HUGS Hopefully it will not be too long before you feel "you can get back on the horse" again.
Doctor prescribed painkillers for my knee yesterday and they seem to have helped. Unfortunately the tablets have had an adverse affect on my stomach this morning!
My OH and two of her chums have gone to the Opera House in Belfast to watch Cats. Her bank account got her 25% discount and they have taken a box. I'm sure they will have a brill day out.
Upside is I will have a bit of peace and quiet! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone :beer:0
