Say no to 0870, 0844, 0845! Call them for free!

I have a great site for everyone to use...

Instead of calling expensive numbers starting with 0870,0845,0844 that aren't FREE with your mobile contract- the site has a list of alternative numbers (landlines) you can call.

For example, you want to call Natwest telephone banking- the normal number is 0845 610 1234 (costs 25 pence a minute) from mobiles. Go to SAY NO TO 0870 DOT COM, click on 'search to find an alternative number', type in the company name e.g Natwest, and you'll see a list of alternative numbers (landlines)... so now you can save £££'s,....

No more huge bills!!

Hope you find this useful!

There are still posts about people who are being charged for calling premium rate numbers...

Never really understood the "thanks" thing. Are people really that sad that they care how many anonymous people press a button on a website?

This is a money saving site, where you post information that will help people in FUTURE... It helped me, and yes, it was after I spent £££ on calls to premium rate numbers!

It's not a pointless thread at all.

I think they should change it to a reputation system like other forums where you give somebody positive or negative rep on their advice and it incentivises users to be constructive as going into net negative rep gets you PPR'd etc and too much at once bears similar consequences.
