The best way to stop binge eating crap is simple, don't have it in the house. best way for it not to be in the house. Online shop, it takes away the temptation of all those lovely sparkling wrappers.
Also look at the reason why you binge eat. Only you can answer that one. Once you realise what it is you can then set about dealing with that issue.

I don't keep it in the house. But live close to a little supermarket so go and buy what I want to binge on.

I can't afford it. Either in terms of money or my health.

Its emotional reasons why I binge.

If you looked in my freezer you would see chicken breasts, a chicken, frozen mixed berries, salmon, yorkshire pudding, roast pots, and peas, beans, carrots, broccoli, a pack of beef mince.

In my fridge there is bacon, eggs, half a savoy cabbage, a lettuce and cucumber, fresh carrots and some new pots.

And in my larder a small amount of pasta which is out of date now, so proves how often I eat that, 2 x jars of pasta sauce. And the pepsi max I removed from the fridge, and a couple of tubs of gravy as I do love my gravy :rotfl:

Calley- have you looked into maybe getting some professional help for your binges?
Therapy? Have you tried it before? You sound as though you have low self-esteem and body image, which is tied up with bingeing too by the sounds of it.

Sit ups won't help, you can't spot reduce fat as you say. Try just generally losing weight and lifting weights is the best way to get definition and lose weight x

I do know how to loose weight.

Did once before in 9 weeks lost about 2 stone. I was cycling 5 miles for 5 days a week.

And eating 3 meals a day. I was never starving and had a little treat once a week.

But I have issues with food. And I do binge eat. And also got the mind set if I mess up one day whats the point.

Can I suggest that when you get the urge to overeat, make a point of eating raw vegetables such as carrots or cucumbers before doing so. Don't deny your snack but force yourself to have something healthy and low calorie first. That way you might eat less of whatever you want to binge on.
Also sorry but I can't help it, I have to tell you it is 'lose' weight not 'loose'.

I started eating low carb higher fat about 18 months ago and lost over a stone. I also lost about 4-5 inches off my waist. Husband has had similar results. Will never go back to eating spuds, pasta, rice, bread, cereals in any significant quantities again.

Check out 'Escape the diet trap' by Dr John Briffa to find out why it's carbs, not fat that are responsible for the inches on your waistline.

Edit: I'm never hungry as we always eat plenty, but of the right food. And I'm not spending hours flogging away in the gym etc either.

I read that a while ago.

I have been playing with the idea of primal eating. which is low carb.

But I need to sort out the binge eating first.

Is it carbs you binge on? If you cut down on carbs, increase the fat intake, the urge to binge may reduce. We take Chrome tablets which are supposed to lessen the urges to eat carbs.
