No, I did it over the phone but they wanted me to do it online... I told them I was a lady of a certain age!!

I have never got round to moving DDs over to them so have never got the cashback, daft really given it would have been free money.

I am not keen on paying £5 per month for 1.5% interest (I wasn't keen for 3% tbf!) - in my mind, the monthly fee should be allowed to be taken off before tax is calculated, as it is a cost of running the account so effectively reduced the interest rate gained. They have also annoyed me cutting 1.5% off the interest when the based rate went down 0.25%, so the more money I can move away from them the better.

I agree, I don't want anything in Santander except enough to pay my utilities which gives me around £14 free per month on the cashback...

As a bank update, i am busy setting up BoS to replace San123 as the interest rate has halved to 1.5%. Worth considering if you were using San123 as a savings account. BoS Vantage are offering 3% on up to £5k, minimum £1000 pay in per month, 2 DDs. You can apparently have up to 3 according to reports on other forums.

Three is correct. I've had three for a couple of years now. BOS/Halifax still use the Lloyds platform for payments as well so if you have a Lloyds account as well all payments between them go as immediate (internal) transfers and not BACS or Faster payments.
These accounts can be funded with internal transfers to fulfill minimum deposit terms.

I would anticipate BOS announcing a reduction in these rates by year end.
