So, the title is pretty self explanatory, but this is the place to be in 2012 :D
In 2012, the aim is to save £12k (or, any other amount if you like!) from 1st January 2012 til 31st December 2012. I know it's early, but it gives you the time to plan for how you are going to do it!
RULES:
- This challenge starts on 1st January 2012 00:00 and finishes on 31st December 2012 23:59.
- Everything saved MUST be done between these two dates.
- Any interest gained during this challenge on your savings can be counted!

    Was only going to to aim for 8k but this makes me concentrate more.!

    Hi Redbull :hello:

    I think I'm going to aim for 10k as we're planning the holiday of a lifetime Nov 2013 to Australia and I'd also like to take DH away for his 30th march 2013, been looking at Vegas.. So all round I've worked out about £2000 for Vegas and £7000-8000 for Aus:D

    Going to put together a little savings plan now, cos I'm sad lol :D

    Im well and truely in....stick me down at £15,000!!! Should be debt free end of this year....end of Jan/Feb at latest....so will have at least 10 months to save it up. Suprised there aint a thread like this already, the how much can you save is more an irregular savings thing but this will keep me constantly checking in updating how im doing.

    £1,250 a month......Lets do it :D

    Yeh i think i will just go for as much as i can to be honest. Am saving for a flat! That holiday sounds awesome. Will be great to get away.

    Keep the saving going, im sure we will be going at it to get the most so il c you on here shortly!

    I am breaking down my £12,000 target for this year into the following savings/investments:
    Cash Based Savings: £8,000 - Cash Based Target for 2012: £19,000
    Sharesave: £250 x 10 payments - Saving Target for 2012: £2,500
    SIP: £125 x 12 payments - Investment Target for 2012: £1,500
