6 years from the original judgement date, whether it is marked as satisfied/settled or not.

Do you have to do anything or will it automaticly be gone after the 6yrs?

If you've settled the debt, you need the creditor to confirm the settlement date in writing. You then need to send this to the court that filed the CCJ with payment of £15. They will then update your credit file to read satisfied. At least, that's how it worked with my last CCJ from Severn Trent.

Either way, it will fall off your file after 6 years, so if you're nearly there anyway and don't have a pressing need for it to be flagged as satisfied, you might as well save your money and let it drop off naturally.

Have you got one on your record?
