Wage free account?

Hi guys

I’m about to start up a savings account and some stoozed credit cards for my ex girlfriend (now a very good friend). She is not very financially or internet savvy, so I have offered to set up and manage it all for her, which isn’t a problem. The problem is I will need to pay the card min payments each month by direct debit. I don’t want it to come out of her current account as she’ll never know how much money is hers to spend. So I need a current account or a savings account that allows DD’s that I can open in her name and manage online that does not require any wages depositing each month and obviously doesn’t charge for the privilege. Any ideas on a suitable account?

Cheers

Brighty

With very rare exceptions, all current accounts are free and don't demand paying salary in.

    'Best Current Account' article.

I'd go for Nationwide - good for travel abroad, good online banking, low interest overdraft.
Or Cahoot - good in-credit interest, free £250 overdraft.

    Cheers for that.

    Think she's already with nationwide

Can you have 2 current accounts with the same bank?
