UC goes live in my area on the 6th Dec, i claim income related ESA support group as well as DLA (until i change over to pip) im just wondering if i have to do anything or does the DWP inform me about changing to UC? I recieved another form for ESA in August, i forget what its called but its because my 2 years on ESA are coming to an end so i guess its to see if i can carry on with it, the form had to be returned by 23rd Oct but i sent it back straight away as i hate having things hanging over me, i havent heard anything as yet but i guess i will get an appointment for another face to face, once i receive notice of whats going to happen with my re claim will i then go onto UC? If successful of course. Im just a bit worried that come Wednesday when UC goes live i should be on the phone, or internet and claiming UC, and i really dont know if i should just wait and they will contact me.

You can safely ignore the rollout of UC in your area for some time. It will only be for new claims, people like yourself will be moved to UC sometime in the future so please don't be concerned that you have to do anything."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

You need to check the status of your Universal Credit service in your area.
It is possible that your area is a live service area at the moment and your area is going to full service on December 6th.

This may make a difference to your claim if you do not meet the criteria for ESA and then have to claim a new income related benefit (the old JSA) if your area becomes a full service area on Dec 6th.
There is also a Universal Credit helpline you can use if you need to.0
