This is my first year joining the challenge having become a MFW in August.
Can you add me with a target of £13710.48 to overpay please.
Did say £10000 before but I've had another think and a number crunch and come back with a weird number. This number combined with our regular mortgage payments comes to £24000.
Our regular overpayment will make up about £7700 of this so that's £6000 to find from other places, or £500 a month whilst also being able to continue to keep up regular overpayments.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
Initial Mortgage free date - January 2058
Mortgage as of 1st February 2024 - £159,134.98
Overpayments to date - £79.62
Current Mortgage free date - January 20580 -

Thanks again JCL for taking the reins. This will be Year 6 of the annual MFW threads for me- each year a different number. So slot me in with as low a number as is available ;-)
Target I'll say £2000 for now. Will be on maternity leave til July so finances tighter than usual but I'm sure we can manage a bit of extra mortgage reduction. Good luck to all my fellow OP addicts !!2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013
