Csarina, could you not scan the paper cuttings? Then you still have them o the computer but not in physical form.
I'm sure some of the kondo team do this with photos and paperwork.
Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will talk to him about it. There is also a box his sister gave him with a load of stuff in re his Grandfathers old shop, long since gone, as is he!! I keep asking him to go through it but thats as far as it gets.

I am planning to scan at least 3 lots of photos a day until they have all gone. I put them through the shredder after they have been scanned and then transfer the pictures to discs.

2 large toy fire engines that my boy has grown out of. One of them kept setting itself off making noises 'brm brm...nee naa nee naa'. I did get some strange looks as I was walking along the road.

I was a little sad to see it go as he used to love it so much but then I reminded myself I bought it from a charity shop in the first place and now some other little one can have the fun of playing with it.

That made me laugh Ginmonster - I had a similar experience with a ZuZu pet which I sold at a table sale. It 'woke up' as the lady put it in her bag and kept chirping all the way round the room. :D. I've mentioned before that I also feel sad about my DD clearing out things which were significant in her childhood, particularly books. :( I keep telling myself that someone else will appreciate both the book/toy and the fact that it's a bargain from the cs...... and then let it go!

    Well,that's a bit rubbish!!
I have spent the last hour typing up my list of stuff that left the house today.Went to press "enter",and my internet was down (my computer has a habit of losing connection if it is "idle" for too long ).Fiddled around with it,copied my post, reset internet, restarted computer, but computer obviously doesn't "save" when it is restarted.I have taken a photo of my post (because my computer has form :eek:),but don't have time to relist now.
    Will be back later..........:o
