Barclays Bank Default 2009

Hey guys

I opened a bank account when I was 11 years old it had a visa electron back then. Anyway over the years barclays must have upgraded the account to a current account, it defaulted in 2009 for around £150. I change my bank in 2009 to lloydstsb so my salary no longer went into the barclays account. I never had an agreed overdraft with them on the account either. Anyway I sent off a letter to them asking for them to produce he CCA and a true signed copy of the default notic, is this correct ? Or have I sent the wrong letter ?

The agreement (CCA) for an overdraft doesn't have to follow the usual format; it could be something as simple as a letter telling you what your new limit is. They should still have sent you a default notice though.

My understanding is that creditors don't have to supply a copy of the default notice, only evidence that it was sent. This could be something as simple as a box saying 'default notice sent dd/mm/yyyy' as far as I'm aware.
