Hello, I'd like to join, put me down for the £165 target, but have spent £80.71 today on the monthly food shop. My food budget runs from the 27th to the 26th of the months. I have complete charge of the food budget this month so I am aiming to get it under control.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Okay, first shop and......failed. Spent just under £90, mmm no excuses simply over spent. Everyone on holiday and spent to much.
I'll make it up maybe but not a good start, embarrassing a bit. I probably bought to many treats and bought my son stuff he said he would give the money for but I feel sorry for him just now, you know they put it in the trolley and say they'll give you the money which he had but I said it didn't matter.
I hopefully won't shop again until next Saturday, as I normally stick to one shop a week. Good luck everyone.0 -
Hi all, I would like to go for £140 for August please, this will include all grocery and pet food, I spent more on random purchases last month, but needed to replace a couple of electrical items, hope to keep that a lot lower this month too.Do I need it or just want it.0
-
Please can you put me down for £155 in August?
That's for 2 adults, includes food, toiletries and cleaning stuff.
Its a reductuion of 64p per day compared to my previous 2 budgets, or £4.48 per week.
Been doing a reasonable amount of batch cooking, baking homemade hobnobs rather than buying cereal bars, eating more veg and less meat. Going to have a look at the recipes again for August to try and squeeze the budget a bit more...August 2016 GC £249.70/£150

Can I be down for £140 for August please? I missed last month, due to a combination of being mentally busy at work, but also having a major electrical issue at home, meaning I've had no fridge, freezer, washing machine or hot water for three weeks!
I'm off work for most of August, so should be able to have the spends pretty low, but as I'm going to have to restock the freezer from scratch I've added some extra to the budget for that.0 -
Hello.
Thanks for posting.
I'm in - £250 this month. Going to be a bit of a tough one this month as freezer is now looking bare - so a bit more meat shopping required, but not too much as I want to keep doing veggie3 /4 nights a week.
We are away for a week next week (food being paid from holiday fund) so that should help, but we also have another 2 camping weekends to cater for, and I fear the cost!
Happy grocery challenge everyone

Well I have put £250 over into a separate account ready for the off. I still have £5 left in my purse from last month so should manage to get to next weekend without starting on August money. All that clutter used to be money0
