Morning, well done on the wins, glad you have heat again leanfun. We have a sunny day here but it's chilly. I was worried my fences would come down last night as it was very windy. But all looks ok today.I have had a couple of wins over the last 2 days. Won a signed Arsenal shirt (one of my nephews boys is Arsenal mad so that's one of his chrissie presents sorted) Then a wem came in earlier from mag daily for a A winter driving safety pack. So pleased with those wins.Hope you all have a lucky day.0

:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all well. Unfortunately the leaf clearing was a
big no no yesterday fire**fly. We had quite a hooley blowing
here and in the end I had to scuttle indoors and batten down the
hatches!
It was quite scary listening to the wind battering around my
house but was pleasantly surprised this morning to see
there was no damage at all, much to my relief!
The only slight casualty was a bay tree (in a large pot) which
had toppled over but that also survived. Phew!
It's a glorious morning here now, sun is shining away,
beautiful blue sky and as warm as a Spring day! So yep -
think I'll be carrying on with the leaf clearing today!
So pleased you had the boiler fitted yesterday leanfun and very
well done on your Goodreads win! :T :j
Have a wonderful time today at the Ideal Home Christmas
Show with your DD1. I can remember my Mum and Dad
going every year to the exhibition - they used to return
with quite a few quirky items!
I hadn't realised it was founded by the Daily Mail! Interesting
link below about the history.

Well sat with feet up now. We had a throughly good day despite bad start
The bus I was on broke down then all trains were delayed but I eventually met up with DD1 and one of her neighbour's at Victoria.
It all looked so festive. 'Snow' and reighdeers outside huge Christmas trees and lots of decorations inside. Near the entrance a Christmassy bandstand where Choirs were singing. Thanks for link Alfie. Loved the old pic.
Bought a light bright door mat with Father Christmas on and a few other things. Home to a welcome cuppa coffee and hundreds of emails. Ho and another Goodreads WEM. George Michael book.
Indie well done on your wins. Great win for your nephew. Footie shirts are so expensive.
We heard the wind last night but thankfully like you all no damage.
Firefly take care. It doesn't matter if puzzles aren't posted immediately. Hope you have enjoyed your food.
I don't seem to be able to keep up with comps lately.
Hope everyone has a good evening.0 -

Hi everyone  just popping in again to say hi to my lovelies!
There's been lots of fireworks going off tonight for the Xmas lights switch on in town and I'm guessing someone local is celebrating thanksgiving too.
Hope everyone was safe from the winds and rain last night!
Well done on the wins indie, Leanfun and mummyto3 :T great wins
I was lucky last Saturday on the hotpicks 3 no's and got £800.
Did you spend spend spend at the metro Sheils? I'm going on sat but kinda dreading it! I hate it when it's busy!
I haven't been watching celeb Alfie. I love ant n Dec but hate all the bugs n stuff! I watched love, lies & records instead. I'm really enjoying that.
Fire**fly I'm like you on a night, tired and hungry but I think I'm eating for the sake of eating! I really need to lose a few pounds after Xmas. (Chocs & turkey come first! )
Hope all is well Sylvia and Rose. You've been to some lovely places for coffee Sylvia I saw your posts on fb.
Is it just me or has everyone gone Xmas mad this yr and started early? There's trees and lights up everywhere and even capital radio have been playing Xmas songs last couple of weeks! They never used to play them! Don't get me wrong I love Xmas, even watching a Xmas film now! I just like to start in DecemberBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -

We didn't have that good a journey home through all the rain the other day and have been quite busy since we got back. It was nice to be away and did buy a few things in Gateshead Metro Centre, Newcastle and Sunderland. Didn't manage to do much walking though apart from the first day. Saw some interesting museums and Lowry paintings though. Learnt quite a lot about the area and DH loves that sort of thing. Ate out really well with vouchers etc too! So many vouchers about just now and hotel offers. Waiting on the Village Hotel black friday sale at 9am. They usually do really good offers although I expect this will only cover offers until the end of Dec or Jan. Their New Year sale last year was so good I booked 5 different 2 nights right through the year so hoping that will appear this New Year again. You know me I love a good hotel bargain.
We got upgraded at the Roker, Sunderland Best Western hotel. It was a bit OTT with fancy furniture and lighting but it had a wonderful view of the sea and Roker lighthouse (which we had learnt about at the museum!)
At home now until the 10th I think. A neighbour has been to warn us that there has been a burglary up the road though so worried there will be more like there was in Nov/Dec 2015. Our insurance is still ridiculous so this won't help.
Anyway, well done to all the winners - glad some people being lucky!
Especially well done to you wingo, hope you have fun spending.
Must get on.
