BTW with the https://www.barcodesinc.com/free-barcode-font/ 3of9 font you need to use * before and after text for the header and footer to be recognised by many scanners0

You can't just randomly make up some numbers and dashes and hope it works if you want to sell in shops.

OP never stated the reason for using barcodes. You have assumed it is for selling products. That is only one of a myriad uses for them.0

I use them for my own stock control of rented items, so I know what is where, etc. Just faster than writing down a serial number if there's a lot going out0

you also need to buy your bar codes, they don't come cheap either..
Yep, 1,000 with the annual fee to GS1 of £119 plus one off joining fee of £109.
I'm unsure though whether they come as an actual barcode or just as a list of numbers that I need to turn into a barcode, is this the route you have gone down?Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

About to, we want it for selling in the shops that currently stock our goods, not to mention stock control.
Unforeseen - I bought it up as this is a useful too for anyone searching this forum for barcodes anyway as it makes for interesting read. We are supposed to be here to help and advise when not asking ourselves.0 -
It would be helpful to know what the OP intends to do with the barcodes he needs ??
I used an online barcode generator for homemade items in a deli, picles jams etc.
The barcodes were set up in my cash registers.
However they could not be read by anybody elses barcode reader.0
