cdkeys. beware!

Just tried to get an xbox live gold code from 'cdkeys'. After a lot of faffing about checking my PayPal details and me having to give them my email addy and mobile no. so they can send me a pin code to enter, I then have to wait while all this is 'verified' and then I get a text asking me to email a photo of my driving licence and/or my passport and a photo of a daily newspaper with today's date on. !!!!!!! All I want is an xbox gold code not access to America's military secrets!!
Emailed 'cdkeys' to cancel order, now just have to wait and see if I get a refund.Won't be holding my breath!

I used cdkeys for my son on Saturday I thought I'd made a mistake after the sms verfication . I wasn't asked for drivers licence or passport Did you click download on the email cdkeys sent you I missed that part.

You would be screwed if you neither had a driving license or passport.

Praise where praise is due. Have had emails from both cdkeys and PayPal to say my money has been refunded.

Not everybody (particularly a student with an xbox) are going to have any, if either. I was in my 30s before I got a passport, driving license in my 40s.

Huh? I use them all the time. Never had any need for phone verification or passport information. I just pay with paypal and the code is sent within 5 minutes or less.

I paid with a Paypal Verified account which I have had for years. Never had this problem with any other seller.
