We've put our summer weight quilt back on. Got fed up of waking up because it was too warm.

Our garden is still under about 5" of water from Eva, now Frank is starting to roar his ugly head.
We've not had enough time while the glazing company was open to sort out the leak from our porch door from Eva, so carpets up in porch and towels are ready for tonight's onslaught.
Seems all these storms are hitting the North West and North in general.

    Stay safe

Thank you, we are much, much luckier than 1000's of families around the UK.

I hear Gertrude may be on her way! Hope she not coming our direction!

My thoughts are with all of those people who are suffering from the adverse weather conditions we are experiencing at the moment. Hopefully readers of this thread will have been a bit better prepared!
Does anyone else dislike this recent trend of naming 'storms' ? I feel like we are constantly experiencing terrible weather instead of it just being strong winds or heavy rain...
The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

Yes I agree it makes bad weather sound even worse. Just following the American way I suppose. At least, if you've been affected, you can tell the insurance people which storm it was...

    Hi Mardatha
We actually haven't had a down pour for a few days-only drizzle, and it's the same now.
I'm in North Wales, so it may have bypassed us-thankfully, or it's on it's way down.
We've had the local double glazing co to look at our porch door, and I think that will be okay next time. Our garden is the problem, it's lower than the house, and lower than the road, and the water table is so high.
I'll just have to see what plants have died after we get a good dry spell! Much less of an issue than other people's problems.
Take care up on the hill!
