    Guilty - I've done it.

But before I did it, I contacted Egg and checked with them and they said it was okay to do precisely that.

For instance, after taking out the Egg Card with £4K on it, I then took out a Halifax card which gave me a measly £900.. I did a SBT putting the £900 on to Egg, which meant that I then owed Egg £3,100, but because in the meantime I had done my first minimum repayment of £80, I actually then owed Egg £3,020. I sent a secure message to Egg asking whether I would then be allowed to transfer the £900 or £980 into my current account, and the written reply from them was I could transfer the whole lot, bringing me back up to my maximum £4K credit limit. So I did.

    Hope that helps.

It won't be very profitable if your other card is an MBNA one though 'cos they'll charge you 2% up to a maximum of £35 every time you do a BT :o
