  • I think you will find that the maximum you can pay off the mortgage is 10% for the first two years.

    1) This would not mean one cannot offset the entire mortgage if one wished, just put it in the offset account(s) instead of making a payment.

    2) If you opt for the 4.69% fixed for 2 years - Clydesdale will pay the legal fees, but they will charge a £449 application fee or whatever

    3) they solicitors same day (CHAPS) transfer charges are high budget for about £85

    Total cost for a remortgage would be £534
  • Bad news guys - The reason you can't find the mortgage is because it the offer has finished. CLydesdale are re-vamping it with a rate of 4.95% fixed for 2 years

    are you looking for an offset or just a low deal ?

    Nationwide now have a 4.39% fixed for 2 years . Daily interest with overpayments of up nto £500 allowed
