Cold house frame

Im have been given a big bit of glass hopefully to use on the plot if I can some how. Just need some ideas on how to make it working able if that makes sense??

Length 1,385mm
Width 1,950mm
Dig 1,825mm
Thickness 200mm

Im not sure if it will be too heavy to lifted up if used as a lid on a cold frame?? Is there any other way's to use it??

Depending on how DIY savvie you are yes you can build a cold frame using it. Just need a small amount of bricks to build a small wall, say 1 brick high on the front and 3 brick high at the rear and then use a piece of wood as a stopper on the smaller wall to stop the glass from falling forward..

Or you can dig a small trench, as wide as the glass and stand it up in it and then build 3 walls around it as a mini greenhouse/coldframe...

Well it will be my other half building it. I have ideas just not sure on how to fix it altogther!! I like the tench idea think that will be the one. As it is heavy. Will have to do some drawings of it soon. Thank's.

dont forget to have a way to handle the glass itself, perhaps have a gaffer tape edging around it and/or some sort of rope for handles.
