Hi
I'm looking to open a savings account next month and was looking for some advice on the best ones about.
I want to pu at least £200 a month in by standing order when I get paid at the end of the month.
I also want to be able to have the option of putting more in over the month if I can.
I also would like to be able to make withdrawls from the account if need be.
Any advice appreciated
Chris

ICICI Bank with an easy access interest rate of 6.41% AER should do you nicely.

I'm assuming that you have already opened an ISA this year and deposited your £3000 allowance? If not, then Alliance & Leicester ISA paying 6.25% tax-free ought to be your fist call.0 -
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
No I dont have an ISA, would it be a good idea to get one. Bearing in mind I need access to it.

Yes it would be a good idea to have one due to the fact that the interest is tax free and there is no tax liability on them. Other (non ISA) accounts show the gross AER and therefore you will have tax deducted at 20% from the interest paid.0
