We went through our Christmas List and Budget last night and the cost is HUGE! (Though £200 less than we actually spent last year as we do go through it all and split the cost).

We are going to try our best to come in under budget - I have some b00ts points and some nectar points to spend and I have some 2 x £5 off £20 spend for Mr T direct. Got to force DH to look for bargains this year!

Its not that we can't afford it (and I do put money by each month), its just that it seems to be an awful lot of money when you write it all down. Even if I can reduce it by a few ££s it will help.

Need to plan better for next year and try to get some surveys done etc.. to help cushion the blow.

Tonight we are going shopping at a shopping centre about 6 miles away (need to get a birthday present for friends' daughter - plus we will looking for some of the toy christmas presents we are going to get).

Am I strange? I don't really like shopping, I find it tiresome - DH doesn't mind it at all.

We are being naughty and going out for tea, but have got a voucher (where is my halo when I need it?!)

I really dislike shopping too and try my utmost to do as much in line as possible :)

I also dislike the way people become complete maniacs in car parks close to Christmas

Hope you had a good meal out to make up for going shopping :T

Hey megela, Tilly - glad I'm not the only one.

Very un-fruitful shopping trip - got some ideas but absolutely nothing bought.

    Now looking online for presents.

Nice meal and then home for a relatively early night (only woke up twice!).

Tea tonight is Lemon Pepper Chicken - something different after all the carbs and salt in last nights meal.

    Happy Wednesday everyone.

Loathe it. Without meaning to exaggerate, half the arguments Mrs E and I have are over our love/hate of shopping excursions!

A case in point would be today. Mrs E ordered a birthday present for a friend from Debenh@ms. 2 minutes for her to order, followed by a 20 minute wait in a queue to collect it for me :rotfl:
