Vulpix- I agree with Free Im sure the value of your house has increased- you've worked like a Trojan to get it sorted! I also LOVE the name of your craft group!! Less WI , more Hip Hop!! Loving the funeral plans for Mr V!!!

Peppa- glad the kitchen is coming along.

Free - your poor DD, is she going back to the specialist? That's awful news just when things were picking up for her and she has her wedding to plan xx

GYD- Its lovely how Teddy 'shares' isn't it? NOT!! Roo chases the crows at the park, not that she will ever catch one as she's not made for speed but if one ever decided to take part in a marathon she would be able to grab it cus that dog can run for MILES!!

Treasure queen - a very happy belated birthday, hope you had a lovely day x

Sammy kaye- that was nice of the Council wasn't it? they can be soooo good about Council tax!! (said with the most sarcasm I can muster !). OOh your little one looks a beaut! I think your plans to put off having her til the weekend are spot on.

Clumsy- I hope the appointments situation is sorted now without having caused you too much stress x

046 I would be up for the craft challenge again. Hope you are managing to make some memories with the kids in the last few weeks of their hols.
Apologies to anyone I may have missed out x

The kids and I have decided to join forces with our present for DH and have bought him a fountain pen that I know he has coveted for years, and I have got him some sheepskin slippers (he is diabetic) and a multi tool (from amazon using vouchers so only cost me £15- bargain) for his birthday in November. So that's him done! DS wants money towards a watch and DD is having another Kate Spade bag (if I can bear to give it to her cus it is gorgeous lol). So all in all Christmas plans are going ahead nicely at the moment.

Whilst I was in the park this morning I found a four leaf clover- hopefully its a good omen!

Jet,the old black lab we had at home was so greedy.Next door used to leave scraps out on a plate. She used to eat them and bring the plate home.Once next door had put her husbands work boots out on the step.Jet brought one home so my Mum not knowing whose it was put it in the bin!

Sammy J yes I view houses with Christmas in mind.I like a bay window to have a Christmas tree in it.What a great idea to do a family tree for your parents.Very unique.

Bloomin bargain JL Christmas tree there.I must not buy any more. When we move to our forever home I will have a cull and only keep the right tree for the right places.

Murie, you are doing well with ideas.Your four leaf clover has worked already to give you the ideas for DH.It does get difficult to think of stuff, especially for men.

Clumsy,I hope you are sorted now with the appointments.Typical they are on the same day!

Peppa when is the grand opening of the new kitchen?Description please, not only am I a christmas nut,I love anything housey too.

    Good Morning all,

im up, washing out and another load in the washer.
Had a horrendous day yesterday. Started off lovely, went out for a late lunch, wore new shoes so now have 2 HUGE very sore blisters on both heels. (shoes now in bin!) Have done something to my back so I am in alot of pain(electric shock kind of pain, nerves again) Would not mind but I was just getting out of the car and it twinged a little and has not been right since. I am fed up of it! Got home and there was a bit of drama with some close family members ( not our immediate famiy). Managed to cut it off at the pass so was a short lived drama luckily. Then had a telephone meeting in the evening. Was exhausted last night but in so much pain that i did not get to sleep until gone midnight.

Sammykaye18- I now have Magical holiday home open in another browser to have a look later. Did you manage to go blackberry picking? Good to her you are up for a craft group, we will start on September 1st.
GYD- i love labradoodles. Lol can just picture the faces of dog owners when you say you cannot pet their dog as you are allergic lol x
    Holmesm- yes! christmas countdown!
Free- Isnt it annoying with electricals! Free I feel so sorry for your DD as the pain is relentless and wears you down. I have never heard of them being able to sever the nerves before, that is interesting to know. Thats how cruel pain is, just as you start to hope you are pain free it comes back( as i found out yesterday) My consultant mentions scar tissue alot. As our bodies try to heal itself it causes us further problems. Appaprantly massage/ massaging area prevents alot of scar tissue forming or can repair the scar tissue. Its worth a shot and im looking into giving it a try. After my first operation the scar tissue had fused so badly to my dura.
Vulpix- you did make me laugh with swearing at the lady on FB. Love the idea for Mr Vs funeral lol
Sammyj- Hello again and welcome x Hope you manage to find the perfect house xx
Tincan- thanks for the heads up but they only had 4ft left when i got on. Thank you for thinking of me though
murie- great to hear you up for the craft challenge too xx gift sounds amazing for your hubby

Just had a quick look on Magical holiday Home website- similar to our thread. They have christmas gift wrapping parties! They agree some dates and then everybody wraps gifts at on their own at their homes but you are together in spirit. Sounds fab, who is up for it. Need to be organised this year as previous years I have been able to wrap whilst the kids are at school. obviously this year I am hoping to be still working full time( if my back allows) so wrapping party may work what do you all think?

Yay, I'd be up for a virtual pressie wrapping party 0462 and I'll do my best with the craft challenge. I think the problem with crafts for me (apart from the lack of talent) is that I have nowhere to put what I end up making.

0462 sorry to hear your back is playing up just when you've managed to get back to normal. Hope it turns out to be a fleeting problem and goes away very soon.

SAMMYJ when we looked at our bungalow I must confess I knew exactly where the Christmas tree was going to go.

FREE your poor DD that's so upsetting. Has the doc confirmed that's what happened? Is there anything they can do for her? It's horrible when you think things are finally sorted and then something happens to spoil things.

CLUMSY, hope you get your Jobcentre appointment rearranged, I don't mind making phone calls but I do hate dealing with those sort of organisations, they always make something simple into a major event.

VULPIX I love the plans for MrV's funeral too, I can just picture it lol.

DGD is back this week and today we've got the two little DGSs too as DD1 is sleeping off a night shift so it's a bit manic. Have to dash now as littlest DGS 'needs' my iPad to play Panda Pop but will be back on later. Hope everyone has a good day.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

SAMMYKAYE aww she will be a tinky doggie then :D I too would be steaming if the council did that to me its very unfair. What is Magical Holiday Home?

Magical Holiday Home is another Christmas Forum - they are Christmas mad all year but there are other forums there - I like the rudolph day challenges and other bits that help with the grand plan - which is a cleaning plan to help gt the house in order before Christmas but it also has Christmas tasks a well to keep you on track and less stressed!

046 - its a fab site! Defintiely helps me to get organised and the christmas card swap is always fun to do too. I love the wrapping days - I sit with the computer on and chat with the girls there whilst Im wrapping. They do some good ideas too for decorations and gifts. They are a lovely bunch. Im skippy1707 on there.
I have been blackberry picking twice just round our house so have 3 small bags of blackberrys already in the freezer. There is an apple tree on the way to my work that I raided last year and ended up with 5 carrier bags full of apples- I cannot tell you how fed up of them I was after all the peeling and chopping. Hoping to go back this year and use a sheet to catch them all in because lots were bruised by my amateurishness (word?) last year but we were eating apple and cinnamon crumble for weeks

Sammy J - I have already told my husband that the house we eventually buy needs to have a bay window - I dont care about much more else with the house as long as there is a bay window to put my christmas tree in! :rotfl::rotfl:

Holmesm - welcome to the group! Loving the countdown!

Free - |I hope your daughter feels better soon.

Well today has been looking at school uniform so Xmas is on the back burner a bit today other than mooching round the MHH board. Holly has decided to paint a money bank I got her for her birthday , Ben was out at the cinema until 11 last night so will probably be bedroom bound for a while yet other than the brief inhalation of food. Might drag him out for some more blackberry picking later though but I need to make a uniform list and tidy up a bit today as well since I have done nothing this morning........and I gained a pound :-(

    ah well - move along!

Vulpix- did your mom own up to binning the boot? Our last cat bought home a slice of spam and a Yorkshire puddig once and proudly lay in the dining room with them (on separate occasions) when we were eating. Mind you he also used to bring piles of twigs and sticks home - I think he had spent too much time watching birds building their nests!

046- hope your back is better today x Funny how some days feel drama filled and others just pass by without a hitch isn't it?

Sammy- kaye- I used to hate school uniform buying when the kids were at school- especially shoes. I can honestly say I am glad to see the back of those days! DH picked me a humungus bag of blackberries this morning that I will probably freeze.

Mandco- yay!! I love it when the Christmas cards come into stock at Card Factory cus it means the rest of the shops will be catching up soon!

    Afternoon everyone,

VULPIX haha you do make me laugh its so easy to send the wrong thing to the wrong person these days. I love how you described your husbands funeral :rotfl:The nerves on DD2s back were burnt not cut doh!

SAMMY that is a lovely present for your parents, I really should get all mine back out and get back into it, I gave up because it was so expensive to keep up

MURIE yes DD2 will go back to see the specialist but needs to wait a while longer otherwise they don't deem it successful. Ooh I hope the four leaf clover brings you luck!

04624181 oh no sorry about you being in pain again with your back, mine goes when I bend over a blooming supermarket trolley, twice last week it did it but after a good nights sleep it was fine. The trolleys must be at a height that just doesn't agree with my back

PEPPAPIG no she hasn't seen anyone yet but they said it can happen when they did the op. Have fun with the grandkids :D

SAMMYKAYE ah right I do the Grand Holiday Plan and the Rudolph monthly challenges but have never gone near the forums will have to have a nose

MANDCO ooh I love when the first Christmas bits come out

    Evening all,

Managed to make appt with a new physio for Tuesday. I have just taken a diazapan and am hoping it stops the spasms and makes everything relax.
Have still got to pack, shower and wash my hair and DD's hair (DD's hair is thick, very long and very tight curl)
Need to print off the lesson paperwork, write a shopping list for DH to go shopping with in the morning.

Free- I do hope DD is feeling a bit more comfortable. I am going to look at this nerve burning. Anything is worth a shot.

Ordered dd a pack of kids stick on nails. I bought her some for Christmas last year from monsoon and she loved them! Have looked online but cannot see any of them. Managed to get some from amazon but will keep looking on monsoon too.

I am hoping not to bring too much clutter/tat in the shape of gifts for Christmas this year. I only end up throwing it away so it feels like I am throwing money in the bin. What are people key essentials in stockings?
