We have a great cafe locally who do fantastic scones - and then sell them off the next day at a much lower price, in bags (at this point, they're definitely drying out). Is it possible to "refresh" stale scones -I thought about freezing the bag and then taking one when I fancied one, but what to do next? (We don't have a microwave).
Any advice? Thanks.

Have you tried the bread method? Splash lightly with water & bung in oven for five minutes or so?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

You could split and toast them - top with butter and a nice jam.
Or they make a good substitute for trifle sponges.
In the absence of a microwave, you could break them up into an ovenproof dish, put on the lid and heat in a cooling oven; topped with custard/creme fraiche they make a quick and easy pudding.Be kind to others and to yourself too.0 -
I'd slice those before chucking into the freezer - then toast the two halves when I take them out. It's easier to slice them now....
There's no point putting a whole oven on just to reheat one scone! It'd cost you more than the value of the food0
