Item are seconds - but hard to spot as such. Packaging is very sturdy and their customer service is great if breakages occur in transit.

Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 28 Jul: Portmeirion hasn’t got back to us yet, but from what we can tell, the up to 75% off sale is on online whilst stocks last, and includes Botanic Garden and Spode Woodland designs. Bargains we found include a six-piece plate set for £15 and a six-piece side plate set for £7. Delivery is £4.95.

Very beautiful set of plates and cheaper than amazon.I bought one teacup and two plates from amazon 2 month ago .
