  • Hi,
I have just been looking various breakdown websites and cashback sites to try and find some cheap breakdown cover.

RAC are currently offering a £25 fuel card on selected policies. A single membership has been quoted at £39.99, but with the £25 fuel card not a bad price at all!!

Have a look at the rac again, but go through topcashback.com and see the cashbak reward you would recieve..... you might ending up getting (effectively) free cover! ;)

Name Dropper First Anniversary Combo Breaker First Post
    Hi
My RAC renewal has come through. I only have basic roadside cover and they are quoting me just over £50. However, my car is 13 years old, so this limits my options to go elsewhere - can anyone suggest an alternative - I don't really want to go down the route of Gem or Autoaid (ie: paying and reclaiming).

    Many thanks

    First Anniversary Combo Breaker
No idea if there any good or not but have been mulling a few options at the moment and Kwik fit breakdown insurance seem pretty cheap, maybe worth trying them for a quote...

This is an accident recovery service only and not breakdown cover

And it won't be free, there'll be a claim mangement company involved, and charging to someones insurance where they can.
  • Amongst my Tesco clubcard vouchers received a few weeks ago was one for '40% off on RAC breakdown cover'. Offer valid until 31/12/12.
I decided to use it, that is, until I read the 'small print' on the back of the voucher.
    Who wrote this?
" Discount on single personal based cover with payment on a continuous annual basis for the first year of membership only."
    And " Excludes Roadside."
I didn't use it. This is voucher, to me, is worthless.
    :(
  • I have an old Austin mini - I get free breakdown including 3 months Eurocover, unlimited mileage, agreed value with 2 drivers on the policy for £122 - plus I am recycling!
