    Yes you can
Hamsters have no tact and diplomacy, nor do they want any.

send a subject access request to them with a 10 pounds postal order/cheque, they may ask you to prove your identity i.e. utility bill etc.

You will need to the account number and ask for six years of charges etc, from when you found out the charges were unlawful. They have 40 days to comply with this request under data protection laws.

send it to the data controller
    Data Protection Manager
    Data Protection Team
    Regulatory Compliance
    Abbey House

Abbey may or may not send all statements at first, post again if they give you the microfiche argument, send it recorded delivery and track it and print out a receipt.

You need to start by reading Martin's article and you'll find the template letters there with the step by step guide and the addresses are in the Reclaim Help Thread which you'll find linked in my signature.

    Hi,

Ive read Martins article and I cant find the answer to my question.

I am searching through my Dads statements for bank charges and he wants to know if he can claim for charges from accounts that have been closed.

    Can anyone answer ?

Hi, I had a Nationwide Flexaccount but closed it myself about a year and a half ago. I was charged many times.
Can I claim back charges for an account that doesnt exist anymore?

    Cheers

    Ricky
