I know that the general idea of this thread is to lose weight and not save £ but I have come across something today that might help a lot of people do both and I had to share! Take a look at this map of outdoor gym equipment that can be found in places all over the UK http://www.wicksteed.co.uk/outdoor-fitness-locations.html I was looking into gym subscriptions as I need to shed a few pounds and found this, its certainly going to save me some money and help me reach my weight loss goal, and I hope some in this thread find it useful!

Back again folks, as you may have noticed, I'd disappeared. I went off track a bit and ended up (almost) back where I started.
15 weeks today till holidays, on an MSE front, I've enough new clothes in the wardrobe to do me if I can shift some weight so a double incentive.
New plan starts today, targeting a loss of 3lb per week.

    Hi,

Did about the same regarding exercise and diet which resulted in STS.

Good luck to newcomers or those starting afresh. Also, thanks for the exercise equipment info frugaldad.

P.S. fredsnail, as per my previous post, please put me down for the 5lb monthly challenge. I was going to cancel the idea due to finding things too difficult last week but will go ahead afterall! Thanks.

  • 3.5lb loss for me this week, I've only logged 5 miles walking via a mobile app as I can't find my Fitbit, and I've treated myself to a bike to take up cycling.
Will try harder this week to log excercise.

STS since last Wednesday. More exercise was done, in particular the outdoor bicycle and gardening tasks. Calories much the same as last week. Felt slimmer all week (i.e. stomach area) however.
