    Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Thank you SG Sashybo & Foxholes much appreciated :)

    Evening All

    Today has been all about the wealth

    * £70 cheque arrived from a relative.

    * £15 in free vouchers from Next arrived.

    * I found £15!!!!

    * And 2p roadkill :)

    After the terrible week we had were there was nothing in the cupboard and no money to be had it feels as though the tide has turned the other way. Starting with the £40 eBay sale on Thursday after a 2 month drought to today's little haul I have to say it never rains it pours.

    I split the £15, the most I've ever found, between the four of us. The kids a £5 each and DH and I bought a bottle of red with ours. That will go down nicely with a bit of Tom Hardy in half an hour.

    Other than that have been quite lazy by my own standards today. Cycled to and from for a quick errand, then home for more coffee and to warm up. Afternoon with the family and even bought a newspaper for the first time in I can't remember how long...Bliss :)

    Have a good night.

    Bob

    Hello All

    Phew not long back from a kids party pick up for DS and the heavens really opened onto us. Completely soaked by the time we got home. And it's still lashing down. But we are now home, dry, warm and about to have dinner.

    Today's efforts;

    Wealth

    * I found 4p roadkill, DH found 34p on a shelf in the supermarket, why would you decide to dump all your change??

    * Use it up food day. No new spends on groceries for us. Did buy for the food bank though.

    * DS treated to a fantastic afternoon at a party with a fab sporting activity and tea.

    * An existing client added two new dates via email. £150 business. One new query today for May.

    Health

    * This weekend has been the most relaxing I have had for ages. Think having given up the fixed class on Saturday that DS was going to for years has meant a whole day for us all. I haven't had any work on this weekend and knowing that meant I really started to unwind yesterday and have felt very happy. Have read the paper pretty much cover to cover and still had loads of nice family time with everyone.

    Organisation

    * It's food bank week at school so I bought 4 items off the needed list they supplied (washing powder, washing up liquid & two tins of veg)

    * Cleaned out the fridge today which meant a use it up lunch & tea.

    Lunch
    We had the oddly nice combination of home made beans on toast, with some thick cut bacon, and pizza, for DH and I. Kids had eggs and soldiers.

    Dinner
    Tonight's meal is spaghetti for the children with half a quarter pounder that had been cooked and left in the fridge, chopped and sprinkled on top with cheese, and salad bits from yesterday (carrot sticks, cucumber etc)
    For DH and I leftover chilli and potato wedges, also with salad.

    They've got mango sorbet for pudding, whilst DH and I have the last of the meringes, crushed and sprinkled over ice cream, with some basics red berries on top, sort of a poor man's Eton Mess.

    Have also got a pot of stock on the boil to use up all the veg scraps I collect all week and some chicken bones.

    * Three loads of washing done today, two hanging to dry, the last one, all our soaking wet things from the walk home, is still on.

    * Home work packed in school bag for the morning, food bank items packed to go.

    Have a good night. I'm looking forward to packing the kids off shortly and watching Endeavour.
