Moto G4 - photos internal to sd card?

New phone and help needed…

I have photos stored on Moto G4 internal memory and wish to move them to SD card. When I click on internal memory, it doesn’t give me ‘change’ option on ‘photos’.

I have moved other apps to sd card but not photos?

How can I move the photos to sd?

Thanks

    I am back!

My SD card is formatted as Internal. Tried Portable but confused. How can I transfer my photos to SD card and Apps I download.

Basically, default setting as SD card.

    Step by step please.

    Thanks
  • I have a 3rd generation Moto G and wish I hadn't wasted money on an SD card.

Formatted as internal originally and it only shifted 2 out of 58 apps and had the same bother as OP trying to shift photos.

Then reformatted as portable ad managed to shift photos (can't remember how sorry) but couldn't access them from computer via USB cable.

Took card out, and now store photos on Google Drive.

Thanks - I am just thinking after the internal storage is used, would it start using the sd card (formatted as internal)?

Good idea to upload all your pics to 'google Photos' no limits

No need to keep them on device

Make sure you are on wifi

    Go into Google Photos App
Touch 3 bars top left (settings menu)
    Touch 'free up device storage'

all photos should now be uploaded

    Job done

Yes, if you delete them from the phone they remain stored in Google photos.

Clear space on your Android device

With back up & sync turned on, you can delete local copies from your device but keep cloud copies saved in your Google Photos library.
    1. Make sure your photos and videos have been backed up. (Items that are not backed up will have this icon _Kk6CnckND-PewgUjb9v7VQq4vXn76ad0aMAnhGjML0oxwdSaTCu_3ilwIer6mwJbwY=w18-h18.)
    2. Open the Google Photos app 1ofQjiBF5RTSmb26mbdD2D9zkkx8Ps9-3Ld5Ut9zE6dEdNEs6CT3WKCSEi2V__7_Uhk=w18.
    3. At the top left, tap Menu YGDwwsXcJOWhTgckBeelnY1F06mST90ZklylCTWcEA8m9qn4PZYdP8bwztMWtmrPTg=w18 , then Settings.
    4. Tap FREE UP SPACE and follow the instructions.
To access your backed-up photos and videos, including ones you deleted locally from your device, go to the Photos section of the Google Photos app.
