Hi RhiBi, Its totally upto you, some people link to send the form as soon as they make the payments so they dont have to check the bank account again at the end of the month to send in monthly amount.

If you want to send a combined total at the end of the month that is fine.

I dont mind either way as long as its before the end of the month and not declaring for the previous month in the next month as this causes some admin problems.

Hope this clears up your worries and it will become easier and clearer as you continue through the months.

Other retro challengers will be with you to keep you going and follow their lead if you wish

That’s great, I’ll be transferring it from my Nationwide current account to my virtually dormant nationwide cash builder account (which had a balance of 29p!) so it should be easy for me to see what I’m doing, I’ll give it a go by filling the form in every Friday initially and see how it goes!

    Thanks for your help :)

    Hi Kim_13

Thanks for this, I think I have been able to change it to 2018. Can you please check again for me.

I have changed the title and the year in one of the questions.

Thanks also for explaining the challenge to AWPTheo.

    Westie983

    No problem.

The update form does indeed now say 2018.

I've just had another look at the spreadsheet and have noticed that the little sheet tab says VSP2017. Not as noticeable as the update form one as I didn't notice the first time.

Can I set a target of £180 for 2018 please. I may increase it via the update form later in the year, depending on how I get on.

    Thanks

    Woop Woop, thank you!

On the fence about an amount as I've never done this type of savings so I just wouldn't know how much to put down. Do I need a target????

Hi, I would like to join please, I really like this idea as it will encourage me looking at my online account regularly as well. I have no idea what my target will be but my aim is to do it weekly so will try for £200, may adjust later in year if I am wildly out.

Hello, please can I join? I’m fairly new (joined forum quite some time ago but never post!) and this will be my first challenge but I’ve been (bordering on obsessively) looking at the forums recently and doing my own budgets and spreadsheets, determined to manage finances and get a savings pot going! I would like to be conservative and aim for a £200 target please initially.

    Thank you!
  • Morning,

#10 reporting £9.79 for this week. I've sent the update but then pressed the back arrow, doh! Westie983, let me know if I need to send again. Thanks.
