Reply from SNC after I said they were going straight to the FOS, they deny that my loan was unaffordable, have come up with some random figures that apparently went into my account regularly to boost my income (possibly the random amounts between £10-£150 which was either my mum or DH bailing me out!) They also said they carried out weekly assessments, but if they had they would have seen my multiple other payday loans over the course of my account.
So off to the FOS they go. I knew I'd get a fight with at least one of them!0 -
Hi everyone, what an interesting read and want to look into this further.
I had several payday loans from 2011-216.
Managed to look at my old statements; shocking to see that I borrowed over £11k from Wonga, over the years; and paid back approx £15k !!
There was also a pattern in the dates I borrowed every month. Feel so ashamed after seeing it in black and white, also had at least 5 other payday loans too so god knows how much they will be
Am with StepChange DMP which is great.. will never take out a pdl again !
What are the chances of a claim ? (Thanks again Baggybreeches for the pm)0 -
So I randomly came across this thread while looking at reclaiming payday loans and I just cant believe it..
Between 2009 and 2012 I used 4 payday loan company's every month.. I paid on average £500 intrest a month for 3 years ...
I was only 19 at the time and it ruined around 5 years of my life. My family werent in a situation to help me. I was already in a trust deed. I got the first loan to go on a 'cheap last minute holiday' with friends, as you do at 19.. and it got out of control so fast. I was struggling to pay my trust deed payments because of how much intrest i was paying.
In 2012 I was involved in what i would consider a very bad car accident (still have the sore back today to prove it) I recieved compensation of £2500 for that accident and that is the only reason my ordeal with these compains stopped. I never looked back and now i am horrified that I ended up down that path so many years ago..
I've worked out I paid over £18,000 in intrest.. I have the bank statements to prove it..
That makes me want to be sick in my mouth right now.. I could have had the most amazing years of my life or a big deposit for a house, if these companies had not sucked me in..
So im sitting at 1am.. and ive sent emails off to all of them,..
I havent even bothered asking for statements from them for figures... Ive just sent of the generic email saying i want to lodge the complaint and want my money back.. added in from the get go, about if they dont pay up the FSO will add on another £550 WHEN not if, i send it to them..
Waiting with all my fingers and toes crossed to hear back..

Good Morning All,
I hoping I can share my journey and ask for any help re payday loans in total over the years I couldn’t list the amount of companies I used over a 7-8 year period….it must run into £££££.Yesterday I started the process of emailing all the companies requesting my loan details with them. I have read so much last night on what I have to next, but I am just nervous that I will do this wrong really hoping for some help and guidance along the way..
thanks all0 -
Ohhhh no the cheque centre replied today and said they are now in administration and I can only claim if there is any money left over. Please help 😭 They confirmed my figure was 9000 aswell.

Hi Tottenhamgirl,... I feel your pain! Have you got access to your bank statements at the time you took out the loans ? If so just do a search on all credits and you’ll find what you need then you can go straight ahead and just send the pdl companies a formal complaint email/letter0 -

Good luck!
I have 2 against PDUK and Wonga, both currently with the FOS as they disputed my claim. PDUK are not offering loans anymore, but don't let this worry you as they are still working through the complaints anyway, and have added more people to deal with them.
Do expect the 8 week wait and at 8 week + 1 day, forward on the FOS even if they ask for more time.
You may get a good response when you are in the FOS queue, if not, you will be further up the queueSmiling and waving0 -

still like to poke my head in here now and again to see that people are still having success!
I got my refund in the earlier part of the year from QQ and happy to say im now a home owner! something I never thought would be possible before
Excellent - go you!
Ive had about £1700 back so far and 2 defaults in the process of being removed.
If all goes to plan, I'll get anout 5k ish and the remaining 3 defaults removedSmiling and waving0
